Reconciliation – Confession

In this Sacrament, the faithful acknowledge their sinfulness and confess their particular sins. They express their sorrow to the priest – who represents Christ – and their determination to act differently and to allow Jesus to help them to change their ways. They receive absolution and forgiveness. A simple penance is required.

At St Chad’s, confession times are available at these times: (see here)

Catechetical preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation usually coincides with preparation for the Eucharist ( See Eucharist page).

For adults, this is part of the Adult initiation programme above Baptism – Adults.
