Sacrament of the Sick
This Sacrament was previously reserved for those who were dying but this is no longer the case. People who are gravely ill or who are about to undergo a serious operation, are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Sick and can receive it repeatedly. This rite, which includes anointing with oil, is for remission of sins, spiritual strength, and the recovery of physical health.
The Sacrament is administered by a Priest. Contact the presbytery to find out more. There is no specific catechetical preparation for this Sacrament.
